In general sports require loads of strength and endurance that too in particular track and
field events. Considered as one of the oldest sports in the world discus is a popular track
and field event wherein participator throws a weighed disc. One such oldest sport that is
active in today's modern culture would be the track and field event.

Among all, discus throw is one such popular event in the Olympics more to the point,
the basic objective of the sport is pretty simple and it is all about throwing the heavy
discus farther than his or her opponents.


International Association of Athletics Foundation is the one that frames the basic rule and
they are the governing body of all athletic events that have all rights to change the rules
periodically.

Starting with the rule for discus it is implemented for the object that is to be thrown and
could be made of wood or other right material with a circular edge and metal rim. For
men it should be 2kg and a diameter of 22cms on the other hand for women it must be of
1kg and a diameter of 18cms. Radius of 6mm for the cross section of the edge and it
should be a proper circle with sides being identical.

Coming to the discus cage, it is meant for the pavilion where discus is thrown by the
players; speed of around 25 meters per second. The shape of the cage should be a 'U'
