Experience Bangkok at its best on a cruise of the historic Chao Phraya River aboard the beautifully restored
fleet of Manohra Teak Rice Barges. These 50-year old rice barges were completely rebuilt and restored for
dining and cocktail cruising. The fleet comprises 3 boats; Manohra Dream, Manohra Moon and the
luxuriously renovated Manohra Star which seats 70 seated guests and is more geared for groups.

Manohra Cruises cater for dinner and cocktail cruises on the Chao Phraya River slipping passed Wat Arun,
the Royal Grand Palace and the Boathouse which houses the Royal Barges for some stunning views.

Manohra Rice Barge Bangkok Dinner Cruise
Location

The Bangkok Dinner Cruise aboard the Manohra originates from the Manohra Cruise Pier at the Bangkok
Marriott Resort & Spa although you can also board at the Taksin Bridge Public Pier and the Oriental Public
Pier by prior arrangement.

The cruise takes you upriver passed the corridor of Bangkok’s Riverside 5 Star Hotels including the infamous
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bangkok, the Shangri La Hotel and the Peninsula Hotel and onwards to Wat Arun or
the Temple of Dawn and the Royal Palace to mention just a few of Bangkok’s major landmarks that can be
viewed from the Chao Phraya River on this cruise.

For those that are new to Bangkok at night and the Chao Phraya River, it really is a river that never sleeps
and as night falls the landmarks are beautifully floodlit creating incredible opportunities for photography not
to mention a breathtaking ambience.

As the dinner cruise concludes you can be dropped off once again at the Oriental Public Pier, Taksin Bridge
Public Pier or the Manohra Cruise Pier depending on which is the most convenient location to get back to
your Bangkok hotel or ensuing engagements. Based in Bangkok we are more than happy to advise on your
embarkation and disembarkation point for this dinner cruise.

Itinerary
6.00pm
You are met in the foyer of your Bangkok hotel by our driver who takes you to the awaiting car. You drive
across Bangkok to the Manohra Cruise Pier.
7.30pm
The Manohra casts-off from the pier and your cruise begins. The journey takes you at a sedate pace upriver
and you have three hours to relish the hospitality onboard and to fully enjoy your dinner without being at all
rushed (almost all other Bangkok Dinner Cruises are just 2 hours).
10.30pm
The Manohra returns to the Manohra Cruise Pier whereupon you can slip into the Marriott Resort & Spa for a
cheeky nightcap and if you aren’t actually staying at this hotel then you can use their shuttle boat to return to
Taksin Pier. Alternatively you can both join and get dropped off at Taksin Pier or indeed the Oriental public
pier as well depending on which is most convenient for you.
