iRobot Roomba Pet Series 532 Vacuum Cleaning Robot Review
The iRobot Roomba Pet Series 532 Vacuum Cleaning Robot makes caring for a home with pets
easier. The Roomba 532 cleaning robot can clean up to three standard-sized rooms on a single
charge. It's equipped and ready to go with an extra set of easy to clean brushes, and a high
capacity sweeper bin for grabbing even more pet hair and dander. Cleaning tools will ensure that
both sets of brushes remain debris free so they can operate at an optimal level.
The high capacity sweeper bin can hold up to three and a half times more debris than the vacuum
bin. Counter rotating brushes work diligently by reaching deep into carpets to extract hair, dust,
dander and more. A fine filter traps pollen, dust and other small particulates inside the bin. Able to
clean up to three standard rooms on a single charge, the Roomba comes with two Virtual Walls
which utilize infrared beams to create an adjustable but invisible barrier to block the Roomba from
entering off-limit areas.
It automatically detects and avoids stairs as well as other drop-offs, and it even senses where the
dirtier areas are and spends more time cleaning them. Other features of the Roomba 532 includes
iRobot's latest innovations such as a light-touch bumper, advanced anti-tangle technology and the
ability to transition from carpet to hard flooring with ease. Special safety features on the robot help
your pet stay safe. Bump sensors and automatic shut-off stop noses and paws from being harmed
if a curious pet flips Roomba over.

iRobot Roomba Pet Series 532 Vacuum Cleaning Robot Reviews:
It seems that you will want to pick up your house before you have Roomba running loose. It will try
to vacuum up socks or other small items. If this happens, it will shut off and call for help. With that
being said, it is nice for a lot of people to have a robot that vacuums most of your floor, and it is a
sturdy little vacuum as well. Although it makes it nice not to have to push an upright vacuum
around, there seems to be room for improvement so you won't have to clean it out each time it
vacuums.
Some of the positive reviews indicated that they were very happy with their purchase and
absolutely love this little guy. Many reviewers live in homes with multiple cats and dogs, and the
vacuum does an excellent job of taking over most of the workload when it comes to vacuuming.
A reviewer with a house that consists of laminate flooring and tile, with throw rugs and carpet in
the 3 bedrooms states that in the morning before leaving the house, they hit the clean button on
the Roomba. After returning home in the evening, they retrieve him from his dock and clean the
brushes and the debris bin and let it clean again. This consumer said it only takes about a minute
to clean Roomba.
Others have said it's like having a new member of the family and don't know why they have lived
so long without a robotic vacuum! The Roomba for the most part thoroughly cleans everywhere
and rarely misses a spot unless there is a piece of furniture that is too low to the ground for him to
fit under. Many of the reviewers stated that you need to clean it after every use, but it takes less
than five minutes.
Of course, we need to find out the bad as well as the good. As always, keep in the mind that
Roomba does not work on dark floors. It messes with the sensors and makes them think they are
about to fall off a stair. It causes the vacuum to become confused which ultimately leads it to do
strange things.
Another unhappy customer went on to say that initially they were very happy with Roomba and
even gave it a very positive 5 star review, until the robot broke after less than a year. They feel
that not only is it cheaply built, but a poor design leaves it vulnerable to all the dust it's supposed
to be picking up. None of the gears or other moving parts are sealed, which means dust gets into
them and they start grinding until eventually they fail.
Tech support acknowledged that it was a documented and known fault with the design, but would
not replace the vacuum. The only thing they would do was send new parts which the reviewer
would have to replace on their own. Needless to say the reviewer didn't feel qualified to replace
the small gears that needed to be precisely installed. This is another example of a customer who
felt that the customer support was less than adequate.
In conclusion, there are many reviewers who have not owned this vacuum for very long and
absolutely love it. But most people find that after about a year it starts wearing out as well as
needing to be cleaned more and more frequently until it stops running altogether. You can
probably expect this to happen to you as well.
