The first bathroom was 1700 BC. in the Palace of Knossos built, the ancient Romans were pronounced spa
culture. In later centuries it became quiet around the bathhouses. It was not until the 13th Century a new
sense of bodily cleanliness and maintenance on again. To the hygienic toilet in our sense, it was stil a long
way.
Today, most people care very much aware of and rely a whole range of personal care products. The
industry association for personal care and detergent (IKS) has since the early 90s, in col aboration with
Professor Henning Haase of the University of Frankfurt, the Institute of the Foundation for Empirical
Research in Nuremberg under the direction of Professor Dr. Reinhold Bergler and the Institute for strategic
market research conducted various surveys to find out the attitudes of consumers and their use in cosmetic
products habits.
The results of the studies show that virtual y al Germans - both men and women - hair shampoo and
toothpaste use. More than 80 percent are also shower gel and general skin and hand creams.
In some products, the use of intensity varies by sex: deodorants are used by 90 percent of women by men
to nearly 80 percent. There are great differences in facial creams, which are used by more than 90 percent
of women, but by less than half of al men. It is similar with body lotions and fragrances.
Meanwhile, help yourself but more and more men care cosmetics. While about 80 per cent in one's
personal hygiene is important to have as many as 94 percent of women of men's cosmetics favorably. And
about 20 percent of women say, "a good man is pleasantly fragrant."
