CE mark and Kitemark. What is the difference?
The CE mark and Kitemark are not identical, but complimentary.
While the CE mark is the minimum legal requirement for Europe, the Kitemark offers an additional programme of continual
compliance monitoring and gives peace of mind.
CE mark
Pasante has responsibility for placing safe and compliant products on the market
CE Marking on a product is Pasante's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the
relevant European Directives.
To make a legal declaration Pasante products undergo risk assessments, bio-compatibility testing, examination of clinical
data, and in process testing during manufacture.
All European countries have competent authorities whose role is to monitor the market and protect consumers from
unsafe products as far as possible. The UK governments agency is the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory
Agency (MHRA).
Only when we have satisfied the directive requirements can Pasante affix the CE mark on the product and sell in the EU.
Some products carry both a Kitemark and CE marking.
Kitemark
The Kitemark is a UK product and service quality certification mark which is owned and operated by
The British Standards Institution (BSI Group).
The Kitemark indicates that BSI has independently tested Pasante products against the appropriate
standards at regular intervals, and has confirmed that our products conform consistently, safely and reliably - every time.
To achieve Kitemark(R)certificationPasanteisrequiredtomaintainacomprehensivequalitymanagementsystemto
ISO 13485 which is audited at regular intervals.
Only if Pasante and our products meet with all the ongoing requirements of the standards will BSI issue a
license for us to use the Kitemark.
The CE Mark and Kitemark are essentially different requirements. The BSI Kitemark offers condom users additional peace of
mind through continuous monitoring

As a service to our customers we have produced a range of wallet designs that you can choose from depending on the
occasion. By using these your order quantities can be lower as there are no minimum print runs, enabling you to have the

The CE mark and Kitemark are not identical, but complimentary.
While the CE mark is the minimum legal requirement for Europe, the Kitemark offers an additional programme of continual
compliance monitoring and gives peace of mind.
CE mark
Pasante has responsibility for placing safe and compliant products on the market
CE Marking on a product is Pasante's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the
relevant European Directives.
To make a legal declaration Pasante products undergo risk assessments, bio-compatibility testing, examination of clinical
data, and in process testing during manufacture.
All European countries have competent authorities whose role is to monitor the market and protect consumers from
unsafe products as far as possible. The UK governments agency is the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory
Agency (MHRA).
Only when we have satisfied the directive requirements can Pasante affix the CE mark on the product and sell in the EU.
Some products carry both a Kitemark and CE marking.
Kitemark
The Kitemark is a UK product and service quality certification mark which is owned and operated by
The British Standards Institution (BSI Group).
The Kitemark indicates that BSI has independently tested Pasante products against the appropriate
standards at regular intervals, and has confirmed that our products conform consistently, safely and reliably - every time.
To achieve Kitemark(R)certificationPasanteisrequiredtomaintainacomprehensivequalitymanagementsystemto
ISO 13485 which is audited at regular intervals.
Only if Pasante and our products meet with all the ongoing requirements of the standards will BSI issue a
license for us to use the Kitemark.
The CE Mark and Kitemark are essentially different requirements. The BSI Kitemark offers condom users additional peace of
