Chicken satay in cold peanutbutter sauce

Indonesian chicken satay with peanutbutter sauce

Ingredients for 4 persons

4 chicken breasts,cut in cubes or stripes

2 tbsp natural joghurt

3 tbsp sesame oil

1 teaspoon curry powder

2 tbsp Tamaris soy sauce (glutenfree)

2 garlic toes chopped

1 schalotte chopped


Peanutbutter sauce

1/2 pot peanutbutter preferably with nuts

3 tbsp vinegar

salt

sambal or chillipaste (if you like spicy)

2 tbsp Tamaris soy sauce

water (as much as needed to get a salad dressing consistency)

Materials

BBQ or grill plus sataysticks (if they are made of wood, please soak them in water first, otherwise they burn on the grill)


Preparation

1. Verhit de BBQ. Maak de marinade eerst, doe hiervoor alle ingredienten door elkaar en voeg als laatste de kip toe. Het beste is om de kip enkele
uren te laten marineren of de avond tevoren klaar te maken en in de koelkast te zetten. Handig is om een dubbele hoeveelheid te maken die je
dan invriest, aan de stokjes of los). Rijg de strips of de blokjes aan de sateprikkers en ze zijn klaar om gegrild te worden. Ze hoeven maar heel
erg kort omdat de joghurt in de marinade ervoor zorgt das de kip heel zacht blijft en snel gaar wordt. De sate s hoeven dan ook vaak niet langer
dan 10 minuten op de grill te liggen voordat ze gaar zijn.
2. Take the peanutbutter out of ist packing and stir into a deeper plastic container. Give the 3 tbsp. of vinegar, salt and the soy sauce into the
container and mix everything. Add water until you re happy with its consistence, it should be like salad dressing. You can add garlic, sambal or
other herbs and spices to your liking of course. Also here you can make a portion and freeze it.
