In an effort to crush cyber crime and cyber criminals, the Mumbai police and the Ministry of Information and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), have organized the event to spread awareness and share best practices amongst professionals and society at large. "Cyber Safety Week is an all-inclusive initiative of stakeholders in the Cyber Space. The aim of the 'Cyber Safety Week' is to set up a framework and promote collaboration among Mumbai Police, the Information Technology industry, academia and concerned citizens to address cyber crime and its related issues. The programs scheduled for Mumbai Cyber Safety Week are designed to help individuals understand and protect themselves from online threats while using the Internet.
