In this brief Diablo 3 Leveling Guide, I'm going to share with you a guaranteed way to increase in
the amount of experience you gain for every single kill in Diablo 3. Not only is this possible but it's
actually pretty simple. The trick is to level a jeweler artisan!

While both the blacksmith and the jeweler have very helpful skills that can help you along your
way to level 60, it is the jeweler who will provide the most direct leveling speed boost to your
characters in Diablo 3. Beginning as early as level 1, the jeweler is able to craft gems, specifically
rubies, that will grant you an additional percentage of bonus experience every time you kill an
enemy.

These bonuses start as low as a 5% XP increase per kill with the Chipped Ruby and increase all
the way up to the Radiant Star Ruby which is crafted by a level 10 jeweler and grants a whopping
31% bonus experience per kill! It absolutely cannot be overstated how massive a role these
bonuses will play in your ability to power level characters quickly through the Diablo 3 world. One
should also remember that you are able to unsocket gems from gear, so once you create these
powerful gems, you can continue using them in all of your gear upgrades as you level through the
game. Additionally, once you hit level 60 and no longer need the extra experience, you can either
give these gems to a friend or sell them on the auction house for gold!

Imagine a scenario where your character has a Radiant Star Ruby equipped and is fighting a
group of, let's say, 5 enemies at once. You weaken them all with a variety of AOE abilities and
ultimately finish them all off with a couple Massive Blasts of Some Amazing Skill...feel free to
insert your favorite ability there. Not only will you receive the experience for each enemy you kill
plus a combo kill experience bonus like Masscare, but you'll also be increasing the XP gained per
kill by an additional 35%!

At this point in the beta, it is unclear whether the experience bonuses granted by gems will
ultimately compound the experience received in combo kill bonuses or simply each individual kill.
However, even the non-synergistic effects of these two bonus XP systems at play is enough to
seriously boost your leveling speed.

Keep in mind that it will take a little time before you are able to craft such high level gems as the
Radiant Star Ruby but you should have access to lower level gems of the chipped, flawed and
normal varieties fairly early on.

Diablo 3 gem bonus experience is going to be huge in the Diablo 3 leveling process. Make good
use of it and plan to level those jewelers!
