simply identify the DOT - then look for the last 4 digits stamped into the tire - the
picture above shows "3509". The "3509" means that the tire was manufactured on
the 35th week in the year 2009, and this tire is in good condition, not brand new, but
also not old. 5 years of usage is usually the life of an average tire, but many times it
can be less because it all depends on how much stress the tire has experienced as it
age
