Rules and Regulations

A total of 10 Acts will have the opportunity to perform at the
El Paso County Fair's Got Talent Contest
July 25, 2012
6:00 p.m.

DEADLINE for applications are July 11th by 4:00 pm

There is no registration fee, however performers and guests will need to pay for their own
admission into the Fair. Wednesday, July 25 is Dollar Day therefore everyone gets into
the Fair for one dollar. The south entrance (parking is free) is the closest to the Pepsi
Dance Tent (performance area).

Important Performer information:
1. Each Performer will have a time limit of 10 minutes. The Performer doesn't have
to perform the entire 10 minutes.
2. No obscene or offensive lyrics or body gestures will be allowed. Any lyrics or
behavior determined to be inappropriate will result in disqualification of the
Performer.
3. Any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other
controlled substance at any time during the competition will be disqualified. In
addition, the person in question will be asked to leave the Fairgrounds.
4. The Fair will provide 2 mics, one mixer, 2 monitor speakers, CD player and 2
speakers. Any additional equipment the performer will need to provide.
5. All performers who qualify for the competition will be notified by July 18. Check
in for performer will start at 4:30 pm in the Pepsi Dance Tent on July 25th. At
check in each performer will draw for their order in the contest.
6. No past Got Talent (1st place) winners may participate in future Got Talent
contests.

A panel of three Judges will judge Performers on the following criteria:
* Content: appearance, appropriate material
* Ability
* Overall Impression: Stage presence

All decisions by the judges are final!

The total grand prize is $1,000. First place winners will receive $600, a ribbon, the
opportunity to perform for 30 minutes after competition, and posted on County Fair
website as the 2012 El Paso County Fair's Got Talent Winner, second place winner will
receive $300 and third place winner will receive $100. A W-9 will need to be completed
before receiving prize money.

Registration Form

Wednesday, July 27 the El Paso County Fair will host the fifth annual Got Talent
Contest. We will be accepting any and all acts that are family friendly. Please summit
your DVD or CD to Suzan Link at suzanlink@elpasoco.com or 366 10th Street, Calhan,
CO 80808. We will only pick 10 applicants to perform on stage Wednesday night at 6:00
pm. The total grand prize is $1,000. First place winners will receive $600, a ribbon, the
opportunity to perform for 30 minutes after competition, and posted on County Fair
website as the 2011 El Paso County Fair's Got Talent Winner, second place winner will
receive $300 and third place winner will receive $100.
