The Call Forwarding feature enables you to forward your calls to another phone number,
including your home or office number or your mobile number or even voicemail. Although
modern telephone systems have a host of attractive features, the Call Forwarding feature is the
most helpful feature for business enterprises. This is because the Call Forwarding feature
ensures you do not miss out on any business call.
With the availability of Call Forwarding feature, situations like no network, busy, out of reach,
unable to receive call etc will become a thing of the past. The Call Forwarding feature will put
an end to caller annoyance.
The Call Forwarding feature is usually of two types -
Call Forwarding Variable and Call Forward Busy/No
Response. Call Forwarding Variable is a feature that
enables you to select a number to which all your
incoming calls can be directed. For instance, all
incoming calls can be received by the telephone
operator or a centralized answering point and your
particular extension will receive only the calls meant
for you.
Call Forwarding Busy/No Response, on the other
hand, is a feature that will enable all incoming calls
to automatically get transferred when all of your
lines are busy, or after a pre-determined number of
rings. The advantage of this totally automatic feature
is you will not be required to either activate or
deactivate Call Forwarding feature. Because of this facility, most people favor this option.
If you choose the Call Forwarding variable option, then you will have to necessarily activate and
deactivate the feature. To activate - Press *72, Enter the phone number where you want calls
to be forwarded. (e.g. *72-908-123-4567), Press SEND and wait for confirmation. You should
hear a confirmation tone or a message, Press END. To deactivate - Press *73, Press SEND and
wait for confirmation. You should hear a confirmation tone or a message, Press END.

Call Forwarding is a versatile feature ant the user can opt for the facility to have the incoming

that may otherwise be lost.
The advanced and more complex call forward service will allow calls to be directed to multiple
phones either simultaneously or in sequence until answered. Call Forwarding is an essential
feature as you cannot be physically present everywhere at all times but still need to attend
phone calls from various people from all over the country or other parts of the world.
For multinational companies and other import/ export organizations international Call
Forwarding is absolutely necessary. A Call Forwarding service provider may offer the subscriber
the option to select a number in another country other than where he is physically located and
have the call forwarded to his local phone. This can be beneficial to a company with
international operations in multiple ways.
If a business wishes to penetrate a market in another country they may simply advertise a local
phone number of that country and thus potential customers will not have to pay long distance
charges to reach the business or service offered. The Call Forwarding service provider does all
the rerouting and the caller is never affected and never even knows that the destination of the
call may end up in another country.
