Document Description
According to the Euclidean geometrical plane, a rectangle can be defined as a geometrical shape which is formed on the two - dimensional plane. According to mathematical definition we can say that a rectangle shape is a mathematical figure which is formed with the four straight lines. In the rectangle all the four straight sides are interconnected at the four points of the rectangle which is known as the vertices of the rectangle. In the rectangle, edge can be considered as a line which is used for interconnecting the two vertices of the rectangle with each other by the straight line. The creation of rectangle by the four straight lines that makes the rectangle as a shape of closed figure. It means to say that rectangle is a geometrical shape which are also consider as a shape of closed figure. In rectangle the four angles are formed into their vertices which are equal in size. This can be define as, in the shape of rectangle all the angles of the rectangle are right angle or it can be say that all the angles of the rectangle have the equal measure.

Formula For Perimeter Of A Rectangle
Formula For Perimeter Of A Rectangle
According to the Euclidean geometrical plane, a rectangle can be defined as a geometrical
shape which is formed on the two - dimensional plane.
According to mathematical definition we can say that a rectangle shape is a mathematical
figure which is formed with the four straight lines. In the rectangle al the four straight sides are
interconnected at the four points of the rectangle which is known as the vertices of the
rectangle.
In the rectangle, edge can be considered as a line which is used for interconnecting the two
vertices of the rectangle with each other by the straight line. The creation of rectangle by the
four straight lines that makes the rectangle as a shape of closed figure.
It means to say that rectangle is a geometrical shape which are also consider as a shape of
closed figure.
In rectangle the four angles are formed into their vertices which are equal in size. This can be
define as, in the shape of rectangle al the angles of the rectangle are right angle or it can be
say that al the angles of the rectangle have the equal measure.

Due to the four right angles into their four vertices point the shape of rectangle is also known
as equiangular rectangle. But there is a property contain by the rectangle which makes the
shape of the rectangle different from other geometrical shape.
In rectangle, the sides of the rectangle are not equal in length with each other. In this shape al
the sides not contains the same size.
Adjacent sides of the rectangle are not similar to each other. In the shape of rectangle
opposite sides are similar to each other. Through this feature we can say that rectangle
contains the two pair of the paral el sides.
In the rectangle parallel base sides of the rectangle are cal ed as length of the rectangle, in
the same aspect adjacent sides of base side of the rectangle are known as breathe.
The surface area of rectangle can be calculated either by calculating the area or calculating
the perimeter of the rectangle. Here we are going to discussing about the Perimeter of the
rectangle.
Perimeter of the rectangle can be defined as the distance around the exterior of the rectangle.
In a simple mean we can describe the perimeter of the rectangle as a single walk to around
the rectangle shape.
It means to say that exterior portion of the rectangle is known as perimeter of the rectangle.
To find the perimeter of the rectangle can be performed by the formula for calculating the
perimeter of the rectangle. In the below we show you the perimeter of rectangle:
Formula for Perimeter of a Rectangle = 2(L + b)
In the above `L' denotes the value of length and `b' denotes the value of breathe of the
rectangle. Now we show you some of the example in the below:

Example: Calculate the perimeter of the rectangular piece of board which has the length of 4
inches and value of breathe is 3 inches?
Solution: In the above given the board has the length = 4 inches
And the board has the breathe = 3 inches
Now by applying the Formula for Perimeter of a Rectangle = 2 ( L + b)
= 2 ( 4 + 3) (note: here we add the
value of length and breathe)
= 2 * 7
= 14 inches
