Heartily congratulations to all JIMS winning team participated in "SPANDAN-2011" held at
Prestige institute of Management, Gwalior


SPANDAN-2011 was the annual "IT and Management fest" organized by Prestige institute of
Management, Gwalior where a team of eight students from JIMS Sec-5, Rohini went and won
lots of prizes and cash money. It was a three day fest from 18th Oct, 2011-20th Oct, 2011 in
which colleges from all over the country participated to showcase the potential of their
students .The fest consisted of numerous events for participants to display their knowledge and
other
skills
and
win
exciting
prizes.

Students won in various events.
1. IT Quiz : This event was a mix of quiz, questions on IT terms and 1st position won by
Anuj and Lakshey with cash prize of Rs 2000
2. Best software engineer : This event the students had to present their own made IT
program and 1st position was won by Lakshey and Shivangee (Cash prize-2000 Rs )
3. Antakshri : This event was full of melodious songs and 2nd position won by Mohit and
Harkiran (Cash prize- Rs1000)

Students participated in various events
1. Debate - Shivangee and Harkiran participated in a debate on "Should subsidies be
continued on Petroleum products". It was a insightful and hard fought event where
many participants expressed their views.
2. Street play - All the students presented a play on "Anti-Terrorism" which sent the
message as to how common citizens should perform their duties and help in curbing
terrorism.
3. Solo Singing - Mohit participated in this where participants were to sing a song of their
choice.
4. Just a minute - All students participated in various fun filled activities which were to be
completed in 1 minute. Example- Dropping Max lemons in a bowl
5. Best Manager - Deepak and Amrit participated in this event where questions were asked
related to current corporate events and brands.

6. Case study - Anuj, Shivangee, Deepak, Harkiran and Mohit participated In this where
all the participants were given a case study which was to be analysed and best possible
solution to be given
7. Painting - Nishchay participated in this event where a painting was to be made in 4
hrs and the message conveyed from the painting was to be explained to the judges.
8. Kaun banega Business tycoon event - Anuj, Deepak, Amrit and Lakshey participated in
an event on the lines of KBC. Here many participants were asked questions on business
knowledge and they could take the help of audience, phone a friend etc. It was a
extremely entertaining event.

To conclude, it was a great opportunity and experience for our students to showcase their
talent and also learn to cultivate fighting and sportsman spirit in them.
