wanted to share to all of us.

Welcome Back Actives.
So this is initially one of a few ideas of mine and Kenneth’s to start a little newsletter to active body members
and upcoming pledges as well. So of course, I want to start things off by welcoming back to our first week of
school for Fall quarter of 2009! So, obviously there’s always a fresh new start and with that we start off with a
new active Executive Commitee! So here I would like to announce each of the new members: David Ten, our
new President, Shana Robinson for Service VP, Renee Felicia-Balboa for Membership VP, Fellowship Chair
for Damien Ly and Michael Tran, Inter-chapter to Ghian Carlos Garcia and Christopher Jackson, Treasurer
for Hanna Sim, Pledge Parents to Harry Chu and Michael Gonzales, Fundraiser to Alex Jones and Jane Kim,
Secretary to Michael Gatchalian, Historians to myself (Jessica Le) and Kenneth Chan, Sergeant at Arms
to Darren Armstead and last but not least, to our new open position Public Relations to Lloyd Legaspi and
Marquis Stevenson. Congratulations!
Also the main course of the first week is..... RUSH WEEK! So who’s ready to take those nice looking clip
boards and pens we got to rush new potentials into our fraternity?! Let the hunt begin..........

spring 2009
Banquet
What did actives think of our past Spring Banquet of 2009?

So I was terribly bored and started wondering....for a good month or two... or okay.. well
very long time.. it seems to me... what did people think of banquet? Yet I ponder on these ques-
tions, I sent out and email and a video for fun just to see what did our active body had to say?
MICHAEL TRAN - Banquet was
really good. It was my first one, so I
didn’t know what to expect. I loved
how we saw our chapter as a whole
come together or at least for the most
part. And I found it pretty awesome
how the new Executive Committee
was installed into office.
BEGONIA KROEGER - Banquet
was fun. I enjoyed the food especially=P
But there was no ketchup, lol.
JEANNIE CHANG - Banquet was awe-
some of course! the food was delicious and I
thought it was very well organized..hehe.

JANE KIM - Banquet was good. All
the music videos were fun to watch.
NANCY CHIEU -Banquet
was interesting and a bit enter-
taining but it wasn’t quite as
exciting as I imagined.
GHIAN GARCIA - Banquet
was alright, not very exciting or
interesting. It was nice that ev-
eryone was dressed up.

SUM-LOVE.
SUMMER FUN.
Ahhh... summer, for most of us, it’s the thrill of no school,
the thrill of freedom, and the time to relax. So exactly
what have are actives have been up to this summer? I,

then working for the most of it. Got to be happy with a
check at the end though. Haha, anyways, let’s see what

My summer was FANTASTIC!! I did a lot of things,
too much to even mention. I think I went out too much

the waves, like a pro.
Summer was pretty busy for me. Went to summer school for
11 whole weeks. The best part about summer was the hang-
outs at the beach or movies. My most memorable moment
over summer was getting a half body tan and the other side is
still pale. But what I liked best was mainly the hang outs with
friends and my Big.

- Michael Tran
In the summer I went to Korea that was the high-
light of my summer!!! it was awesome! I Wish I
was here though to hang out with everyone in the
summer, I heard that there was a lot of events that
people were planning in the summer.
