How to Graph a Circle
Whenever we deal with geometry we deal with a very important concept that is known as
circle. Circle is the rounded shape object and we can see these objects when we do many
daily tasks or it is widely used shape.
This is also known as the pie charts means it divides into sectors. Before making the circle
graph we should be familiar with the definition of the circle graph.
It is intersection graph that have a set of chords of a circle or they indicates a part to whole
relationship.
No w we wil see How to Graph a Circle, to draw the circle we should know the circle equation,
although it is not mandatory but you should know it. The circle equation is: -
(x - g)2 + (y - u)2 = r2,
Equation of circle with center at origin is: x2 + y2 = r2 where the center is (0, 0) and the radius
is `r'.

Equation of circle with center at point: (x - g)2 + (y - u)2 = r2 where the center is (g, u) and
the radius is `r'.
In this equation the `g' and `u' indicates the center of the circle and `r' is radius.
Circles can be graphed by the two ways that we defined above that are center at the origin:
This is the simplest way to graph a circle from the center at the origin when we have `h' and
`k', 0 and center away from the origin: It is also a easy method and used when we have center
of the circle at (g, u).
Steps to constructing the graph: -
Step 1: - Put the data into table format if it is not in table format, if it is already in table format
than no change.
Step 2: - Is the data suitable for making the circle graph means define their different parts or
groups.
Step 3 : - Calculate the percentage for the each part, just like if there are three parts then
calculate the percentage for al three parts by fol owing formula (one part / total part sum) *
100.
Step 4: - Draw the graph means draw the circle and then draw the sectors in it according to
their calculated percentage.
Step 5: - Title and label the circle graph means after draw the circle the every sector should be
labeled with their respected names.
Note: - We can add different shades and color so that our circle graph can become attractive.
Circle graph provides a quick and easy way to understand the whole problem with the
solution.

Another way to make the circle graph is: -
Step 1: - First make the circle and mark the circle's center with the dot.
Step 2: - A circle has 360 degrees, so find that a particular one sector's all degree like If a
sector is 35 percent then multiply the 35 percent by 360 degrees.
Step 3: - After that draw the radius and each sector by using the protractor.
Step 4: - And last step label the each sector and title too.
