How to order Giftcards on Amazon.de

1. Creating a new account

Go to the front page of amazon.de and click on "Bitte hier starten" (New customer? Please start here) on the top.


Enter your e-mail address and choose: "Nein, ich bin ein neuer Kunde." (No, I am a new customer.) Click the yellow button.

On the next page, enter your name and repeat your e-mail address. Choose a password and repeat it in the last field. Click "Konto anlegen" (Create account). And you're
done!
If you get an error at this point, the likely reason is that you have chosen a password that Amazon deems too short or insecure, so just choose another one and try again.

2. Purchasing a gift card

Follow this link OR go to the front page and click on "Gutscheine" (gift cards). Then choose the "Per E-mail" option.

On the following page, enter the details of your gift card. Please note that in Germany, decimals are separated by a comma instead of a period, i.e. 25 Euros are written out
as 25,00 , NOT 25.00.

After you click "Zur Bestel ung hinzufugen" (Add to order), the gift card will appear in your eGift Card cart. Gift cards will not appear in your normal shopping cart. You can
add another gift card or click on "Zur Kasse" (Proceed to Checkout).

Enter your password again and proceed:

Choose your payment option and click "Weiter" (Next).

Enter the address for your invoice. (amazon.de will usually not actually send you a printed invoice, just an email.)

Last step: Check your order and click on "Jetzt kaufen" (Buy now).
