Is Digital Camcorder Superior to Analog?
Camcorder is the best electronic recording device to capture still and live
moment of life, to keep as memory and also for later playback. It is not easy to
decide that which one is superior Analog or Digital. Both are little bit different
from each other.
The more high-priced ones are rich in features and are encumbered with
facilities like picture and sound enhancements, darkness recording, higher zoom
capacities and other features.
There are many famous brands in the market that produce good camera recorder
(digital and Analog both). Some well-known brands are as Canon, Hitachi,
Samsung, Sanyo, Panasonic and Sony. Nowadays in the market different types
of audio-video are available in a wide range of sizes, prices and capabilities.
Usually Panasonic Digital Camcorders and digital cameras work in the similar
way, but their main function is shooting videos. Earlier, most audio-video
requisite the use of videotapes, but nowadays most of people want to use digital
cam in place of videotapes. Digital camera recorders are, like digital cameras,
lightweight and allow user to move videos in data form to PC, making
convenient editing possible.
Basically it comes in two categories standard resolution and HD resolution. The
dissimilarity is HD Panasonic Digital Camcorders are the higher end ones, with
higher image resolution and better recording technology. Digital cam usually
store data in external flash memory or internal hard disks. Audio is captured
together with the video by camcorders.
An analog camera recorder is one where a property or features of a physical
recording medium is made to deviate in a manner analogous to the variations in
air pressure of the original sound. It used to convert condition and develop real-
world phenomena, such as light, sound, temperature, motion, and pressure into
electrical signals.
Analog equipment has approx 60,000 customers worldwide. It has seen in the
following industries: instrumentation, military or aerospace, automotive, and
high-performance consumer electronics world. Both analog and digital camera
recorder can reproduction high quality sound.
One of the most restrictive aspects of analog technology is the sensitivity of
analog media to minor physical degradation; however, when the degradation is
more pronounced, analog systems usually perform better, often still producing
recognizable sound, while digital systems will usually fail completely, unable to
play back anything from the medium.
Most digital systems also allow non-audio data to be encoded into the digital
stream, such as information about the artist, track titles, etc., which is often
convenient.
Summary: The main difference between analog and Digital camera recorder is,
analog uses film or video tape but in digital not.
