Dear Mr Nash

BTEC NAT. CERT. ART & DESIGN (19+) 2009-2010

Thankyou for your letter of 12th November 2009. I very much appreciate the
time and effort that you have put into the issues raised; I am confident that we
are now moving towards a satisfactory resolution.

I am pleased to be able to accept and take up the College’s kind offer of a
re-start to my studies in September 2010.

The original problems occurred when I approached my tutor with an enquiry
about the storage and retrieval of work. These problems have not entirely
been resolved to my satisfaction. In order to bring about such a resolution I
propose the following:

1. That the College posts my sketch-book to me. (Please note my new
address). I will then try to assemble some kind of pictorial record in
this handy format so that staff can get some idea in 2010 of the ground
I have covered so far.
2. That I send you in due course a CD-ROM with one photo of each piece
of work I have so far produced while studying at the College, together
with any knowledge I have of its last known whereabouts. I hope that
by September 2010 the location of all of these items will be ascertained
and that they can be given some kind of credit towards the assessment
of my progress over the first year of the course.

3. That I be offered an appointment before the end of the 2009-2010
academic year with someone who has acquainted himself/herself with
my progress so far, with a view to working out how I can establish a
firm foundation for the continuance of my studies in 2010-2011. I
assume that this tutorial would take into account the Department’s
schemes of work for the modules I have missed. I am happy to have a
time a time and date assigned to me provided sufficient notice is given.
I hope that these proposals are acceptable to you. I will now get on with
preparing the disc which I will send to you unless you send me details of
someone else who should receive it.
