KASEMAKE 8.5 Hardware Requirements
Minimum
• Intel Pentium III 1.00GHz
• 128Mb RAM
• 16Mb Display Adapter (capable of 1024x768 16bit colour)
• 500Mb – 1Gb available disk space
Recommended
• Intel Pentium4 2.6GHz or above
• 512Mb RAM
• 128Mb Display Adapter which fully supports MS DirectX 9.0c or above
• 500Mb – 1Gb available disk space
KASEMAKE 8.5 is fully compatible with the following Operating Systems:

Windows 2000

Windows XP
•
Windows Vista
KASEMAKE 8.5 Installation Instructions
These instructions assume that KASEMAKE will be installed into the
“c:\kasemake” directory.
Prior to installation of KASEMAKE 8.5, you should make a backup of
existing / earlier versions of KASEMAKE and pay particular attention that
you have backed up any database (MDB) files you are using as well as your
drawing (AGD) files. You should also make a system restore point
(START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS >
SYSTEM RESTORE
Un-installing earlier versions:
It is recommended that any existing versions of KASEMAKE are uninstalled
prior to installing this new version of KASEMAKE 8.5
Ensure that you have made a backup of existing / earlier versions of
KASEMAKE and pay particular attention that you have backed up any
database (MDB) files you are using as well as your drawing (AGD) files. You
should also make a system restore point
START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS >
SYSTEM RESTORE
1. Run ADD / REMOVE from the Windows Control Panel
(START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL)
2. Once completed you may still be left with a c:\kasemake directory
containing various files (such as agcad.gdt, default.cst). DO NOT delete

these files or the directory as they contain some of the settings that we
want to use in the new KASEMAKE 8.5.
3. You are now ready to install KASEMAKE 8.5.
If you are unsure about this part of this process then contact AG/CAD Technical
Support on +44 (0)1606 863344.
Installation Method:
1.
Insert the KASEMAKE software CD into your CDROM drive.
2.
The setup will now install Microsoft .NET Framework and Windows
Installer 3.1. If you already have these installed on your PC then
jump to step 5. Accept the .NET Framework agreement.
3.
Accept the Windows Installer agreement.

4.
Click yes to reboot after Microsoft .NET Framework and Windows
Installer 3.1 have finished installing.

The installation process should automatically start to run after the PC
has rebooted and the following screen should appear:

Files will be automatically downloaded from the CD to the PC.

After the files have copied across an animated window will be
displayed containing the installation options.

To install KASEMAKE please click on the Install KASEMAKE 8.5
option. Depending on what is already installed on your PC you may
be presenting with a window asking if you would like to install any
modules not present (see below).
9.
The Install button will now install the modules required.
10.
If Direct X is required, accept the agreement option and click next for
each of the modules required. Some examples are shown in the
steps below. Jump ahead to step 15, if you have already installed
these modules.

Click Next

DirectX will now be installed

Click Finish.

If the following window appears, click Yes.

Click Next to start installing KASEMAKE

Accept the terms then click Next.

Enter your registration details then click Next.

Click Next to start a complete KASEMAKE installation.

IMPORTANT: Only select the new MSAccess option if you require a
new database. If you are already using a database from your
previous version of KASEMAKE pick the first option then click Next.
20.
KASEMAKE will now be installed.
