Maruti Swift Dzire price saw an increase of Rs 8500 to Rs 12700
The newly launched Maruti Swift Dzire price is now dearer by Rs 8500 to Rs 12700 more, due
an increase of up to 2 percent in excise duty for the Indian Budget 2012-13. The Indian
Government has increased the excise duty on petrol and diesel driven cars was increased to
12 per cent from 10 per cent for under the 4 meter length cars while it is 27 per cent, from 22
per cent, along with a fixed duty of Rs 15,000 for exceeding four meter long range vehicles.
So, the country's largest passenger car maker has raised the prices for Maruti cars in India by
1.75 per cent.
The last month launched Maruti Swift Dzire price has been grown up by Rs 8500 to Rs 12700
more depending on the variant. The base variant of the Maruti Swift Dzire petrol model is
now available at Rs 4.8 lakh and the top-end variant of the diesel model now has price tag of
Rs 7.51 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The new Swift Desire was launched at very competitive price range but now, due to 2 per
cent increase in excise duty it has shown this big hike in prices for both petrol and diesels.
Maruti Swift Dzire price has also been increased its automatic transmission system version
which comes in VXI variant of the petrol model.
Maruti Swift Dzire packs a 1.2L,
1197cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine. It
offers fuel economy of almost 15.1
kmpl in city and 19.1 kmpl on
highway. Meanwhile, Maruti Swift
Dzire mileage for diesel model that
packs the 1.3L DDiS engine is 19.3
kmpl in city and 23.4 kmpl on
