Induced Rise In Price
If anyone recalls the past years, it seemed that every traffic lights in Indian streets were
meant to direct the popular hatchback, Wagon R. it is one of the best selling cars the
Maruti Suzuki India has ever produced. But the fate of this hatckback does not look so
prosperous lately as the Maruti Wagon R price has been touching the sky after the
acceptation of the annual budget by the Union Government of India. Due to the
sudden increase of two per cent in the collection amount of excise duty, Maruti has
increased the prices of its cars with a maximum of Rs 17,000 hike in price depending
upon the model of the vehicle. price is subjected to be currently tagged at Rs 3.47 lakh
to Rs 4.37 lakh ranged as per the available heights of variants.
As per the officially released
price catalog, Maruti Wagon R
will face an elevation in its
price that may correspond to
be around Rs 6,000 to Rs
7,600. This rise in price will
raise the prior price of Rs 3.40
lakh to Rs 4.30 lakh to the
presently settled price of Rs
3.47 lakh to Rs 4.37 lakh.

As reportedly declared by, Mr. Mayank Prateek, who is a dedicated personnel of
Maruti Suzuki as he is seated in the firm as a Managing Executive Officer of
Marketing & Sales, after the sudden rise of two per cent in excise duty after the release
of the annual budget plan of the year of 2012, the company is bound to increase its
price by an average rate of 1.75 per cent after coordinating with the budget of this year.
Not only Wagon R but other Maruti cars like Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti
Alto and Maruti SX4 are also affected by this price rise.
