As indicated above, we will be organizing the State level Pageant for the coming Miss Earth
Malaysia 2010-2011 pageant. With its slogan “Beauties for a Cause” this event plays it main
objective in promoting environmental awareness.

Miss Earth Sabah 2010 aims to highly and practically educate the young girls in Sabah to help to
create awareness for themselves, their families and especially the community of Sabah to be more
serious in saving and protecting our environment. This pageant will produce beauties that
possess the right criteria to represent Sabah in the national competition of Miss Malaysia Earth
2010 in Ipoh, Perak July this year.

Having myself to represent Malaysia in the International Level of Miss Earth 2009 in Philippines, I
strongly believe that my role to educate and share my experiences and knowledge is very
important. It has always been my dream to see more Sabahan girls to achieve this high and bring
Sabah to the world map. That is my main reason why I am keen to organize Miss Earth Sabah
2010 as Sabah not only has much perfect eco-environment location but also has lots of potential
talents that need to be promoted and at the same time to enhance their environmental knowledge
and awareness.

During their participation, apart from a strong emphasis on environmental protection programs,
they are required to attend various environmental activities, practice and voice their green thoughts
and ideas also aims to showcase and promote various tourist destinations in Sabah. The charity and
fundraising will goes to Taman Sri Puteri (Women Juvenile Centre, Kota Kinabalu) and SK Terian
Penampang Sabah through ORED (Rural Outreach Education Fund). It will be used to support
their building-fund and also for their environmental-projects.

With reference to the above, we are pleased to offer your esteemed company, the opportunity to be

As the Official Jewelry Sponsor, Black Queen will be sponsoring merchandise (shoes) for the
contestants during Miss Earth Sabah 2010 events which are scheduled to commence on 13thJun –
20thJune. During the contest week, all finalists will reside in our official venue sponsor Hyatt
Regency Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu to create the necessary awareness in order to showcase the
various environmental activities through cultures all over the nation. The Grand Final will be on
the 20th June 2010.

MISS EARTH with its slogan “Beauties for a Cause practicing it main purpose in promoting
environmental awareness. Every year, 80 to 90 candidates from all over the world compete on their beauty
and knowledge of World Environmental Issues. The candidates and winners give meaning and relevance
to this beauty competition by promoting worthwhile environmental causes and getting actively involved in
caring for the preservation of Mother Earth.

MISS EARTH SABAH 2010

EDUCATION We believe that lack of education on environmental awareness is a big problem
facing our world today. Miss Earth Sabah 2010 aims to highly and practically educate the young
woman to help to create awareness for themselves, their families, and especially the community of
Sabah to love, to appreciate, to learn and to save our environment.

GREEN-PROGRAMS will be arranged such as visit to the environmental organizations, cleaning
up the beach, distribute eco-bags in the shopping mall, planting trees, and particularly targeted
younger generation by visiting schools and educating students about how through simple changes
they can lead a greener lifestyle as a basic knowledge of the environment and how it can be
preserve.

5Rs – Support Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respect and continuously Re-educate our community
about protecting and preserving our Mother Earth.

GREEN AMBASSADOR The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote environmental
projects and to address issues concerning the environment. They will be endorsed as the
Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns along the state apart of representing Sabah for
the National Pageant Miss Malaysia Earth 2010 to be held in Ipoh, Perak on July this year.

OBJECTIVES
“The power of change is the power of one”
The fundamental objective of the pageant is to create awareness on 5 core principles of the
saving the environment effort. Miss Earth Sabah 2010 will make the participants and public to
realize the importance of their role in protecting and preserving the environment:

1. Believe You Can. Saving the Environment can feel like an overwhelming task, but if we all work
together, there are still many efforts that we can do to protect the environment. Every bit helps!
2. Make a Difference. Build leadership skills among the participants and inspiring others to do their part
not only in themselves but also in their communities by involving awareness-creating activities.
3. Understand the Issues. Every decision you make, as an individual or as a family, has a direct impact
on the health of our mother nature. Knowledge is the power the change.
4. Take a Stand. Be an environmental warrior by contributing your part in many ways on protecting the
environment.
5. Participate. We should all try to make an effort to make better choices in the way we live to ensure that
we will save the day for our future generations to inherit what Mother Nature entrusted us with.
