1. Go to Motorola Support website and download the W-Series USB charging
driver for your phone.
Note: Please note the driver download location. It will be needed in Step 7.
2. Connect your W-Series phone to your computer using the USB cable.
Note: Your phone must be powered ON.
3. Select NO when asked to connect as a storage device.
4. Windows will prompt it found new hardware and will recognize the W-Series
phone.
Note: The W230 is used in this example.
5. The Found New Hardware wizard will launch.
6. Select “Install from list or specific location (Advanced)” and click Next.
7. Browse to the driver location noted from Step 1 and click Next.
The wizard will install the driver.
8. A successful driver installation screen will be displayed.
9. Your W-Series phone can now charge via the computer’s USB port.
