The Nourishing Kitchen of New York City Inc. (the Kitchen), was opened
in 2008 to address nutrition, poor health and hunger—large issues facing
the poverty stricken East Harlem community in New York City. The
Kitchen’s mission is to provide nutritious meals and culinary training in a
