Petition to Challenge the Classification of "Nude Entertainment" for Burlesque Acts

This petition's purpose is to challenge the AGLC's classification of Burlesque Dancers under the "Nude Entertainment" category. The "Nude Entertainment" regulation limits the creative aspects of a Burlesque show, including group skits and prop usage. We advocate that underwear and pasties - pasties being made out of fabric and like materials that supply coverage to the entire nipple area - are sufficient coverage to classify Burlesque dancers as "Non-Nude". By signing this petition you can help The Garter Girls (and all other Burlesque Troupes/Clubs) fight this classification and allow Burlesque to flourish in Calgary without being restricted by these regulations.
