King walked through the lands with ease, for he was the mightiest warrior in all the land. Together with
his partner T.M., they were the bane of every single villain and bandit who walked through these
regions.
Today, King is studying the art of combat by constantly fighting against mighty beasts and fierce
opponents. He and T.M. hope to enter the Rampaging World, a continent to the north that is said to be
the center of this age. There is where the strongest people in the world live, and where the mightiest
beasts dwell.
Their objective is to find the man known as the Death Seeker, who is said to be able to bring back the
souls of the dead. In order to revive their fallen friend, Ali, the two of them train constantly in order to
become strong enough to enter the Rampaging World.
Sitting by a bonfire, King and T.M. fall asleep, and King wanders into his dreams... and an incident that
happened five years ago to King, which shaped him for the rest of his life, surges into his subconscious
mind...
Age of Destruction, Year 689
At 13 years old, the sages of the King's village already called him by his nickname: "One Badass
Motherfucker". King was the first boy in his village to complete the sages' holy training, which
required all the boys of ages 13 to 16 to hunt a large lion rabbit called Rashuma. Rashuma was a twenty
feet tall monster, with the torso of a rabbit but the limbs and face of a lion.
Finally, King and the rest of the boys came face to face with this giant monster. Blood flew all over the
place as the boys realized the monster's overwhelming strength. This dark ritual was necessary so that
the strongest warrior would emerge. The sages watched carefully. If somebody was truly about to die,
they would immediately intervene. But they held on.
Only King was left standing, facing the giant, monstrous Rashuma. King grabbed the hilt of his long
and heavy sword with all his might, and charged forward. Dodging the deadly claw attacks of
Rashuma, he managed to penetrate his guard, and he immediately cut off one of its limbs.
The monster shrieked in pain, and lost its balance. The battle was won, and soon after the sages named
him as the greatest warrior in the village. The other boys were quickly taken to the healers and
shamans, and although there were serious injuries, everyone survived in the end.
The head sage gave King his blessing, and told him that he would be the one who will enter the
Rampaging World one day, to correct a cosmic mistake that will happen to one of his friends. The head
sage said that he will meet a powerful ally on the way, and that together they will start a glorious
campaign to make things right.
Age of Destruction, Year 691
Fast forward 2 years, and King, T.M. And Ali faced off against their former master, the dark lord of
Tempest Citadel, Sandro. Ali used his two flaming swords to attack Sandro, but he easily stopped them
with his hands. T.M. invoked deadly water spells and launched them against Sandro, but the dark lord
easily blocked them with his own dark magic.
It was truly an overwhelming foe, and our three heroes, of ages 15, could not hope to stop him. They
were defeated, and there was nobody to rescue them. Sandro, the cruel dark lord, decided that he would
kill one of them randomly.
So he cast a bolt of lightning, killing Ali. The honorable dragon warrior, loved by all, was killed.
Sandro left his own citadel and headed for the Rampaging World, laughing on his way out. "Suffer,
young fools, for your friend has died. Live, so that you may suffer more! Let despair and darkness
flood your hearts!"
For the next weeks, tears were shed, a funeral was held, and King and T.M. didn't do much those days,
thinking over and over about what happened. After a month, they finally decided not to sit around
moping. They would go to the Rampaging World someday, defeat Sandro, find the Death Seeker, and
bring Ali back to life.
Age of Destruction, Year 694
King and T.M. had faced many foes, and they have fought countless battles. They were now stronger
than ever before, and their skills are renowned everywhere. They were ready for the Rampaging World.
Or so they thought.
As soon as they step foot into the icy wasteland, a giant creature who looked like a cross between a
polar bear and a dragon greet them. In a way, King remembered that day when the sages tested him,
and he was now being tested again as he entered into a new phase of his life. Would he fall here, or
would he succeed?
"I'll let you have this one," T.M. Said. "Somehow I sense that doing this alone will mean a lot to you."
King charged ahead, and the monster attacked. He dodged its attack, and immediately and swiftly cut
off one of its limbs. The monster lost its balance and fell. King was victorious. "Let's go," he said.
In the course of several months, they both faced the most monstrous creatures imaginable, but the love
they felt for their fallen friend never left their hearts. Between the horrid cold, the unimaginable fear of
being attacked at anytime, and the ferocity of the beasts living in this continent, they never forgot the
memories of King, T.M. and Ali fighting together over the years.
Perhaps guided by destiny, or perhaps purely by the strength of their wills, they finally found a hint in a
destroyed village. Living skeletons and zombies walked the fields, and there was a great leader that
commanded this unholy army. A giant abomination with crimson eyes that spawned larva every second.
These larva would almost immediately transform into monstrous flying imps, making this one of the
most horrible scenes any human could witness. Nevertheless, King and T.M. were very prepared for
this.
"Cut down the leader," T.M. Said. "I can easily handle everything else."
With that, T.M. closed his eyes and concentrated on a powerful spell.
"Wings of light, wings of darkness,
Create a deadly vortex of acidness,
Let all who stand in my way be destroyed,
For the gods will tonight be overjoyed!"
A large mass of acid appeared above the destroyed village, raining down and eradicating all the small
creatures. Undead creatures, while difficult to destroy with conventional weapons, are easily broken
down by corrosive acid. The zombies were annihilated, and the skeletons turned to dust. The little imps
could not withstand the power of the acid rain and quickly returned to the protection of their master's
blob of fat.
King rushed ahead and drew a cross in the air with his huge sword, a few inches from the
abomination's skin. A bolt of energy surged from the blade, and trespassed the monstrous creature.
Falling to the ground, the massive beast could no longer sustain itself. However, King purposefully left
it alive so he could ask him some important questions. King was the perfect man for his role, because
his face was scary as hell.
"Talk," King said. "Tell me where Sandro is or I swear to god I will rape you, your mother, your
children, and I will hang you in a place where the birds will shit on your face for the rest of your
miserable existence."
There is something to be said for a human who is able to convince an horrifying demon to betray its
master, but the monster, who would usually never do something like this, revealed the location of
Sandro's hideout, the New Tempest Citadel. It was time to take Sandro down.
With their concentration at their utmost limit, and with their hearts and minds as prepared as possible,
they kicked the front door of Sandro's citadel and began assaulting it. Unknown to them, Sandro had
10000 minions under his command.
The first opponents they faced were the Death Riders. Several hundred black horseman came riding
down the hallway with long scimitars in their hands. They were heavily armored. T.M. quickly decided
to conjure up a spell.
"Let the final judgment spring forward,
For this is the beam that travels skyward,
Once it reaches the sky, bring it back to earth,
And ensure these beings will have no afterbirth."
A massive beam of light flew to the ceiling and stood there for just a few seconds, before falling down
and knocking all the horsemen from their horses. But they were tough, and could still get up and
continue their relentless attack. King charged in and punched every single one of them to warm up his
fists, as, in his words, "It was fucking cold outside, Okay?"
Upon defeating the horsemen, they continued to the top of the citadel, and there they met an interesting
person right in the center of the room. It was Ali! He was standing up, looking at them. King and T.M.
briefly paused for a moment. How could Ali be there? It was impossible!
T.M. sensed a strange disruption in the air, and a sensation of madness and fear came over him. This
was clearly a powerful illusion that someone was casting, playing with their memories and feelings.
"Dispel", T.M said. "Cancel all magical effects in this room."
Ali disappeared and the room was empty. T.M. also turned to king and cast the same spell on him.
"This will prevent Sandro from using this kind of magic on you when you face him."
Now they knew that Sandro was aware of their presence, for only he would resort to such trickery.
Continuing through another large tunnel, they arrived at an arena, and the doors shut behind them.
They walked to the middle of the arena; there was a thick fog around them. The fog cleared when they
arrived at the center, and suddenly they realized that they were surrounded by thousands of undead
soldiers. This was the bulk of Sandro's forces. There were also underground passages from which more
soldiers would appear, wave after wave. It was a dire situation.
Individually, King and T.M. were definitely stronger than even hundreds of these creatures. But against
ten thousand, even they would slowly get tired. T.M. sensed that the entrance to Sandro's throne room
was just ahead.
"Go," T.M. said. I will hold them off here. You must defeat Sandro.
"Are you sure?" King asked. "There's way too many, isn't there?"
"Yes." T.M. said. "However, if you defeat Sandro, the reanimation spell that holds them together will
be canceled and we will have victory. Destroy the puppet master, and we win. But we won't be able to
defeat them if we have all of these enemies on our backs."
T.M. pulled out his staff, meaning that now he was totally serious, and he pointed it at the entrance to
the throne room. A blast of light erupted from the staff and cleared the few enemies that were standing
on the way to the throne room. King could now go forward.
"Go."
King went forward, with his fist clenching his sword. It was do or die time.
Sandro was sitting there, laughing. His pale white skin, his black robe, his scythe hanging from his belt,
he looked the same. "So the little children have actually come. I suppose you can never let little dogs
go free. You never know when they'll turn into lions!"
"Before I slice you to pieces, "King said. "I have one question. Where is the Death Seeker?"
"Ah, the Death Seeker?" Sandro said. "The man who was capable of reviving anyone, yes?"
A chilly wind enveloped the room before Sandro's next words came out of his mouth.
"I've killed him," Sandro said casually.
Veins of rage popped out of King's head. The only man in the world capable of reviving Ali was dead.
There was no more need for words. It was time for battle.
King crouched aggressively. His pose was obviously one of attacking. He was going to jump at Sandro
and slash him.
"You're just going to attack me directly?" Sandro said. "You really haven't learned since the last tim-"
With a flash, King appeared in front of Sandro and roundhouse kicked him in the face, sending him
flying towards the east wall of the throne room. If the wall was not so thick, Sandro would probably
have been sent flying a few kilometers.
A couple of seconds later, Sandro recomposed himself, but was visibly surprised. He had not expected
King to be this fast.
"Looks like you've improv-"
King threw an uppercut at Sandro, sending him towards the ceiling. As Sandro's head crashed on the
roof, debris fell down. The entire citadel was rumbling. "The first kick was for Ali", King said. "This
punch is your reward for being a jerkface."
Sandro got his head out of the ceiling, and levitated in the air. He immediately shot a lightning bolt out
of his finger. King dodged it and drew a cross in the air, launching an energy attack at Sandro, who
extended his palm to stop it with some visible effort.
Sandro levitated to the floor and raised his hand, summoning a flurry of black blades that very swiftly
headed for King. King parried them all with his huge sword and drew a circle in the air. Sandro jumped
upwards expecting another energy beam, but then King drew a cross on top of the circle, pointing it at
the jumping Sandro. A very powerful energy beam was shot at Sandro, who could not deflect it, taking
serious damage.
Panting and visibly sweating, Sandro got up and clapped his hands. The entire citadel started to rumble
and suddenly a black void appear on the ceiling. From it, a large demon with razor like claws and three
heads appeared. "Attack, Cergarus!" Sandro shouted.
King jumped up into Cergarus' mouth and used his signature 'Whirlwind' attack, destroying all three
heads at the same time with the rotation of his huge sword. As King was coming down, Sandro cast a
volley of five lightning bolts at King. Although he managed to parry four of them, one of them hit his
stomach, trespassing it.
Still, the burning rage King felt for his fallen friend who could not be revived did not stop him. He
quickly approached Sandro and prepared to use his greatest technique, the Rising Phoenix. With a swift
upwards motion of sword, a beam of energy cut through the very citadel itself and went into the
heavens. Sandro was now cut in half. The battle was over. The citadel was crumbling to pieces.
King fell down, putting his hand on his stomach. Finally Ali had been avenged, and now he and T.M.
could at least-
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning punctured through King's left leg. An overwhelming sensation of pain
flooded King.
"I'm afraid I lied" Sandro said. "The Death Seeker, you see, is not exactly dead. I've trapped him in my
scythe. Should I be killed, he will automatically revive me once."
King's eyes widened.
"You did well," Sandro arrogantly proclaimed. "But with those wounds you cannot possibly strike
another fatal blow against me. This is the end."
Sandro took out his gigantic scythe. "At the very least, I will give you the honor of dying by my
scythe."
It's true that in normal circumstances Sandro would have won this confrontation, but King comes from
a village where the warriors are taught a neurodegenerative technique where they are able to stop all
the pain they are feeling and redirect the body's energy to fighting.
As sword and scythe clash, like the battle between heat and cold, the melting conclusion arrives.
Sandro's heart is pierced, his scythe is broken, and King is triumphant.
With the scythe destroyed, the grateful Death Seeker pops out and agrees to follow them back to their
homeland, so they can resurrect Ali's corpse.
All the enemies T.M. was fighting suddenly fall. With Sandro's reanimation spell gone, he heads for the
throne room, where he observes that King was triumphed.
Before they head for their homeland, T.M. invoked some healing magic and mended King's wounds,
and he also read through some of Sandro's black magic books. He figured out how to summon some
pretty hippie zombie chicks, and they party all night.
Once they return to their homeland, they revive Ali. Another party takes place, and more zombie chicks
are summoned.
And so, the new era shall be called:
Age of Zombie Chicks, Year 695
The End.
