for Data Security
SendThisFile® today is announcing that al SendThisFile customer data is stored and transferred
utilizing SSAE 16 certified data centers. Customers of SendThisFile can send large files knowing that
their data is handled with the utmost care and security, in accordance with rigorous international auditing
standards.
The Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) number 16 is a new auditing standard
set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that augments existing Statement on
Auditing Standards (SAS) number 70 type II standards used for reporting on service organizational
controls. The new SSAE 16 standard replaces SAS70 type II and is designed to mirror and comply with
International Standards for Assurance Engagements (ISAE) number 3402, al owing SendThisFile to meet
new international service organization reporting standards.
SSAE 16 certification al ows SendThisFile to provide an international y recognized and comprehensive
level of security and controls to protect important customer information such as financial statements, legal
documents and records, payrol , and medical information. "From our very beginning, SendThisFile has set
out to protect our customers' data and information using the highest standards available," said John
Stephens, SendThisFile's VP of Operations .
The fact that SSAE 16 is designed to meet international ISAE 3402 standards, al ows SendThisFile to
service the international community according to their standards and practices. "Many of our customers

gives our international customers the confidence that we are dedicated to serving their needs according
