The Hua Hin seaside resort city of Thailand is a popular
weekend tropical getaway destination for both the local Thais
and foreign travelers alike. With its beautiful tropical climate
and overall pleasant atmosphere, it is easy to see why Hua Hin
is of the most well loved beaches in the country.
The months from November to February are the most
recommended times to visit Hua Hin. But for sizzling hot
summer lovers, you can sweat it out from March until May.
Founded in the 1920s by King
Prakadhipok, Hua Hin immediately became
the royal family's favorite summer
destination. The Siamese royal family
loved the place used to be just a fishing
village. In 1928, King Prakadhipok built the
Klai Kangwon or the Far From Worries
Palace. With its white sand beaches and
comfortable resorts, Hua Hin is popular to locals and travelers
alike. You can engage in a wide range of aquatic recreational
activities available in the beach.
Hua Hin resorts cater mostly to families with its friendly
ambiance, and it is around 2 and a half hours away from
Bangkok. To get there by plane, you can take one of the flights
by Solar Air from the Don Muang Airport in Bangkok.
Hua Hin Beach is the only beach and it runs from end to end of
the Hua Hin area. Hua Hin Beach is a long strip of beach, about
3 kilometers south of a rocky headland and reaches to the
Khao Takiab hill which is close to the southern end. On the hill
you will be greeted by Buddhist temples and an amazing scene

of the whole beach.
There are more places to see beyond the Hua Hin resorts. The
Hua Hin Arts and Crafts Centre for one is an old house on the
Naepkhehat Road. It showcases beautiful contemporary art by
Thai artists and antique furniture pieces. Another must see is
the Hua Hin Railway Station which is said to be Thailand's most
attractive train station. Naturally, you should not forget visiting
the Klai Kangwon Palace and marvel at the Spanish style
architecture. Definitely one of the best ways to spend your
vacation is at Hua Hin, Thailand.
