The 4 “P”s of marketing – product, promotion, place and price – are the four ways used by the alcoholic beverage marketers to reach different parts of the population. The industry uses the 4 “P”s to: ➢ Keep those who already drink drinking, and get them to drink more; ➢ Encourage people who don’t drink to start drinking; ➢ Encourage drinkers to switch alcohol brands; and ➢ Create a good public image for alcohol producers and discourage government actions to change how alcohol is marketed.
