THE CONSTITUTION OF THE WARRIORS FOOTBALL LEAGUE
I. Governing Body
A. Beginning in the 2010 season, Michael Held will begin his 4th term as the Commissioner
of the Warriors Football League (WFL)
B. The Commissioner will remain commissioner for life, unless he becomes unable to
commission for any reason or he is voted out of his position by a 13 team vote.
C. During the season, the commissioner will efficiently run the day to day operation of the
WFL and will be required to interpret the appropriate course of action based on the
terms of this document and by espn.com.
D. Every season, teams will be reviewed by a two man League Review Committee (LRC).
The commissioner must be a member of the LRC.


II. League Members
A. There will be 20 teams for each season, no more, no less.
B. All interested members from the previous season have the right to retain their franchise
as long as they have not been removed by the LRC.
C. Bannings will be instituted by the LRC on a unanimous vote of the LRC.
D. Bannings will be issued as a result of franchise negligence, malice behavior towards the
league, its management or members on the subject of Fantasy Football; or scoring
fewer than 10 points in a week.

III. League Setup
A. Rosters
1. Each team will have 16 roster slots
2. Each team will start 1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 2 wide receivers, 1 tight end,
one individual defensive player, 1 team defense/special teams unit, and one kicker.
3. The remaining spots will be for bench players.
B. Scoring system will be decided by the commissioner prior to the draft day and will be
posted on the league settings page.
C. The 20 team league will be divided into 4 divisions of 5 teams picked at random.
Divisions will be reformatted as deemed necessary by the commissioner.

IV. Draft
A. The draft order will be determined by a lottery. The lottery will be conducted by
draftpicklottery.com. Results of the lottery will be emailed to all members.
B. Once the draft order is determined, the draft order will be in the “snake” format.
C. The draft will be performed online and will be 16 rounds

D. Keepers
1. Each franchise can keep a maximum of 3 players from the previous year’s roster, but
is not required to keep any players.
2. Franchises first 3 draft picks will be reserved for their keeper selection.
3. A player can be kept for a maximum of 3 years.

V. Trades
A. Trades will be allowed from the time draft positions are announced until the Wednesday
before Week 12.
B. All trades will be approved by the commissioner unless an email is sent the league email
account within 24 hours.
C. Non Keeper Draft picks may be traded

VI. Regular season
A. The season schedule will be generated automatically by espn.com.
B. All franchises are responsible to make sure their lineups are updated at the start of the
players’ game. No exceptions.
C. The regular season will end after the completion of week 13.

VII. Playoffs
A. The three round playoffs will take place during weeks 14, 15 and 16.
B. The league will be divided into 2 conferences. The Xtreme Football League and the
United Football League will be in the Coach Black Conference. The Canadian Football
League and the National Football League will be in the Coach Vorgang Conference.
C. The first place teams in both divisions within a conference will be awarded the top two
seeds in the conference playoffs.
D. Their opponents will be the next two top teams in the conference.
E. The conference winners will play each other in Weeks 16 in the Coach Furey Cup. The
winner of the Coach Furey Cup will be declared the WFL champion.

VIII.Amendments
A. All amendments must be proposed by email to the league email address.
B. All amendments proposed by league members must first be approved by the LRC.
C. If an amendment passes the LRC vote, it will be put up to a vote of all teams. All teams
get one vote.

D. If the amendment is rejected by the LRC, reasoning will be given to the author of said
amendment. The author can choose to rework the amendment.
E. All amendments proposed during the season will be reviewed at the end of the season
and will not be applicable to the current season.
F. All amendments to the WFL Constitution will be named after the league member who
proposed the amendment.

AMMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE WARRIORS FOOTBALL LEAGUE
I. In the event that the commissioner can no longer serve, either by vote or by choice, the new
commissioner will be the second member of the League Review Committee. The new
commissioner will be responsible for selecting a new member for the LRC, along with taking
over the regular responsibilities.
II. The second member of the League Review Committee will be selected by the Commissioner
prior to the start of the season.
III. Divisions will be reformatted every two seasons, not as deemed necessary by the commissioner.
IV. A player can be kept a maximum of two times by the same team, allowing three seasons of play
by that player.
V. Article VIII, section F has been removed.
VI. If changes are to be made to either the roster or scoring system by the Commissioner in
between seasons, such changes need to be finalized by the commissioner and announced to
the league at least 15 days before keepers lock, as to allow owners to take into account
changes made to the roster system.
