Towards A Disability Oriented Epidemiology of Traumatic Brain Injury

About 30 years ago epidemiology was described as the Cinderella of the medical sciences.' It is questionable whether this qualification has ever changed with respect to traumatic bruin injury (TBI). The aim of epidemiological studies is to describe the frequency and patterns of distribution of diseuse, as well as to identify aetiological factors in the pathogenesis in order tti generate data relevant for outlining possible approaches to prevention and health administration.
