Washington State Breweries and Coffees and Restaurants and Wineries! Oh My!
Washington State and Seattle have, and are now becoming world-famous in the last few years for its
growing number of coffee shops, fine dining establishments and alcoholic production industries that
include world-renown labels of local coffees, wines and name-brand ales and beers and is now, one of
the leading areas within the United States for hops cultivation and grape agriculture.
From prominent, upcoming, medal winning Chefs to vintage wines and potent brew's to the world's
best coffee, Washington State and especially the Olympic Peninsula and the Puget Sound areas
surrounding Seattle and Bellevue is fast becoming a tourist Mecca for epicurean cuisines and unique
beverages. restaurants in my area
Lest we not forget about the other half of the State, Eastern Washington, including the areas
surrounding Yakima and the Northeast regions too, are now known for its numerous, established and
recognized American Viticultural Area's (AVA), unique breweries and exceptional restaurants too.
Where else in the United States, besides, perhaps Oregon and Northern California can you, in one day,
go from a dry remote location such as the Yakima Valley sampling new, fine wines at a local winery, to
driving a few hours west to dine by the salty waters of an exquisite waterfront restaurant to sample
freshly caught salmon, crab and steamed clams?
That is the Northwest, that is Washington State and that is, what fine dining and tourism is all about in
the Evergreen State.
People too, from around the world have long recognized Seattle and Washington State as the coffee
capital of the world, but visitors from far and wide have also discovered, that quite a few top Chefs
from other larger cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and even Las Vegas, plus many
European and Asian cities have now opened up their own restaurants there that serve cuisines from
many different countries and nationalities.
From Eastern European and Mediterranean to Indian and Thai, to good old American standards to
Mexican and Latin based kitchens, the list of dining and drinking establishments are on the rise there in
The Evergreen State and the Emerald City.
What else could you ask for in your travels there when looking for a great meal? The best coffees, the
best foods and menu selections, the best ales and beers and some of the top local wine selections in the
world are now found distinctly there in Washington State.
Most people now recognize Starbucks, Seattle's Best and Tully's coffees, but Washington State is also
famous for some very excellent brews including Red Hook, Pyramid Ales, Hood Canal, Old School and
Hale's.
As far as wines and wineries located there? Did you know Washington State has over 600 recognized
wineries found there in all regions of the State?
Some of the best known include Ste. Michelle Ch??teau, Quilceda Creek Vintners, Long Shadows
Vintners (the last two served at The White House recently), Leonetti Cellar's and of course many, many
more. places to eat
Washington State is an excellent travel choice at any time of the year to visit too. So, don't let the
weather fool you in to thinking that everything comes to a stand still.
Many cities and smaller communities have unique and fun-filled food festivals where you get a chance
to sample locally grown fruits, vegetables, grains, fish, meats and drink. It's an exciting and excellent
way to spend a day or weekend savoring all that is distinctive about Washington State and the Pacific
Northwest.
So, if you do plan to visit the Pacific Northwest in the future (and you should!), please plan on
designing a trip to Washington State. The Evergreen State is one of the most beautiful places on earth
of course, but it also presents to not only locals, but tourists alike, excellent choices for foods, drink,
cuisine and dining entertainment.
It does not matter what part of the State you plan to visit, there are superb choices for whetting your
appetites and thirst on your travels there within any and all regions. restaurant reviews
