Women Marines - Drill Instructors and Recruit Training

Every Woman Has a Story, Share Yours… January 8-14 2010 Each month, WTDB will showcase the spirit of women Marines through featured photographs. Recruits negotiate an obstacle at the confidence course. The honor platoon drill instructors pose for a photo in the squadbay on graduation day. The series stands in a promotion ceremony in the squadbay prior to marching to the parade deck for the graduation ceremony. A rappel master instructs a recruit on the proper techniques of jumping off of the rappel tower. Recruits remove target from the carriages while in the pits at the rifle range. Recruits who have advanced during swim qualification standby to jump off the tower. After conducting the gas chamber, recruits head to the barrels to clean their masks. A Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) Instructor gives a period of instruction to entire series prior to conducting the bayonet assault course. The senior drill instructor gives her platoon their first period of instruction on the assembly/disassembly of their M16A2 service rifle.
