Please find below all the information you need to know about the event.
This is a two stage event with a sat night trail and a sun morning trail. It is NOT a race. Start times
will be given but there are no prizes for the fastest team! Trail markers will be used.
Canicross, Bikejor, scooters, rigs (3 or 4 wheeled) including passenger rigs are allowed at this event.
All entrants enter individually but must form part of a team. The minimum members of a team must
be two and the maximum will be four. (This does not include juniors or passengers on rigs) Dogs will
be a minimum of two dogs (one for canicross) and a maximum of 8. Junior mushers must be accom-
panied by an adult.
All entrants will be given a pack. In your pack you will have a bib number, map showing trails, mar-
shal points, designated rest points, kit list, your start time, team details etc
There will be no pre rig or kit inspection however the organisers may do equipment and kit list spot
checks. If deemed that your equipment could be a danger or you have not got the sufficient equi-
pemt available between your team you may not be able to take part.
Teams will be set off in your groups at 5 minute intervals. Sat start time will be around 6pm but may
be brought forward or put back to allow for weather/numbers etc. Sun start times will be around
7.30am but again may be altered to suit the dogs.
On both trails there will be a half way point where you can rest/water your teams or take an alter-
native route back to the start. There is a maximum stopping time of 30mins at this point. As part of
your kit list you will need to include water and a stake out system to secure your dogs. At no time
will you be allowed to leave dogs loose, tied to tree's or fences or the Marshalls vehicle. Only if
there is an emergency situation will Marshalls assist with your dogs. Please be aware these people
are not sled dog people so it is your responsibility to make sure your dog is secure or placed where
requested.
Canicrossers will be set off first in their teams. Teams of rigs/scooters/bikes may be mixed together.
Normal trail etiquette will be EXPECTED. Please be polite to your fellow mushers and the public. No
